Does your pet need a nutritional boost related to problems with diabetes, pancreatic problems or metabolic disorders? Dia-Beat-It to the rescue!
Many experts suggest that the rising rate of diseases and conditions in dogs and cats such as diabetes may be due to a lack of preventative nutrients in our pet's food as well as persistent exposure to chemical toxicity. Often, commercial and holistic foods are missing vitamins, vital trace nutrients and plant-based ingredients that are essential for canine and feline health. Instead, many pet foods and treats are full of sugars, fillers, inferior meat by-products, chemical additives and preservatives which may hasten disease.

ArtichokeIn some animals, artichoke can cause some side effects such as intestinal gas and allergic reactions, although gastrointestinal disturbances generally are related to administering high dosages. Animals at the greatest risk of allergic reactions are those who are allergic to plants such as marigolds, daisies, and other similar herbs. Artichoke may cause an allergic reaction in dog/cats that are sensitive to the Asteraceae or Compositae family. Members of this family include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others. If your dog/cat has allergies, be sure to check with your Vet prior to using artichoke. Diabetics and animals with hypoglycemia should use this product with caution and monitor blood sugar levels closely in anticipation of possible effects. Animals with gall bladder disease should use artichoke only under medical supervision. Not enough is known about the use of artichoke during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use. There is concern that artichoke might worsen bile duct obstruction by increasing bile flow. If your pet has this condition, don’t use artichoke without first discussing this with your Vet as artichoke might make gallstones worse by increasing bile flow.
SteviaStevia leaf (when used at dosages higher than recommended) has been documented to have a hypoglycemic effect. Animals with diabetes should use high amounts of stevia with caution and have their blood sugar levels monitored as medications may need adjusting. Documented hypotensive, (lowers blood pressure).
